Design of a bismuth ion-doped fiber laser based on numerical simulation

With the explosive growth of Internet traffic, modern communication systems have put forward higher transmission capacity and efficiency requirements. This study explores the design of bismuth ion-doped fiber lasers to meet the demand for improved transmission capacity in communication systems driven by emerging technologies. An abstract model was established using mathematical simulation methods, and in-depth research was conducted through MATLAB. This method can precisely replicate the fiber laser's operational state as well as examine the effects of various parameters on its functionality. The research results confirm the feasibility of the bismuth-doped fiber laser in the 1150nm-1200nm band. The research not only offers quantitative support but also thoroughly examines how various factors influence the efficiency of fiber lasers. This research fills the gap in optical communication technology, especially the design and optimization of fiber lasers. It provides new ideas and methods for performance optimization in optical communication systems and other fields. By optimizing the design of fiber lasers, the transmission capacity and efficiency of communication systems can be improved. This fulfills the expanding need for information transfer and advances the development of optical communication technologies.
