Analysis of wireless charging technology for electric vehicles based on comparison of dual LCL-type structure and PP-type structure

With the rapid growth trend of the electric vehicle industry, the charging problem of electric vehicles has also come to the fore. This paper firstly introduces the research status of wireless charging at domestic and international level. After that, this article describes the three types of wireless charging. Specifically, the three types are electromagnetic induction wireless charging, microwave wireless charging, and electric field coupling wireless charging. Also, the paper details the underlying topologies commonly used in wireless charging. Immediately following this paper, the dual LCL type and parallel parallel (PP) type structures are simulated by using Multisim simulation software. This article compares the transmission characteristics of the two types. After comparison, it is found that the dual LCL structure is more efficient than the PP-type structure and more stable in transmission. Finally, based on the results obtained from the simulation, high expectations for the improvement and enhancement of the wireless charging structure for future electric vehicles are presented.
