Research on aircraft fuel tank monitoring method based on machine vision
In this paper, a monitoring method based on machine vision is proposed to solve the problems of aircraft fuel measurement and abnormal condition detection in fuel tank. The visual sensor is used to capture and collect the image in the fuel tank, then the solver will identify the current fuel level and fit the fuel surface equation based on the three-dimensional coordinates of points on the fuel level, then calculate the remaining fuel volume. In addition, this method can extract and identify the characteristic of foreign objects and pipeline breakage from the image to determine whether there is an abnormality in the fuel tank. Experiments were designed and validated, and the results of the experiments verified the effectiveness of the method.
