The control strategy and implementation of integrated permanent magnet synchronous starter/generator for aircraft
In order to achieve the integrated function of starting and generation of permanent magnet synchronous machine, a combined control strategy with the sensorless starting control and PWM rectifier control is proposed to reduce the complexity in this paper. During the engine starting procedure, the I/F starting control scheme is adopted at low speeds and the back EMF observation scheme is employed at high speeds to obtain sensorless starting control, and speed regulation is also achieved through speed control loop. In the generating state, the accurate phase control is achieved through three-phase voltage synchronization technology, and the voltage regulation is obtained, current loop is multiplex herein to achieve the integrated design of the control system. Finally, the reliability of the proposed control strategy from start-up to power generation status are verified by the experiment results.
