Research on influence of damping winding on negative-sequence reactance and subtransient reactance of aero-generator
With the gradual unification of on-board secondary energy into electric energy in more electric aircraft, Wound Rotor Synchronous Machine (WRSM) will still have great development and application space in the future more electric/all electric aircraft. However, the output power quality fluctuates greatly in the complex operating conditions with wide speed range, multiple load types and large temperature difference, especially in the process of low speed to high speed, the power quality deteriorates continuously. In order to further improve the output power quality of more electric aircraft generators, this paper combines theoretical analysis and finite element simulation to explore the action mechanism of damping winding, and based on this, analyses the effects of structural parameters of damping winding on negative-sequence reactance and subtransient reactance.
