Study on heat transfer performance of aircraft brake using CFD simulation
In this paper, a CFD model is established to simulate the transient temperature field of aircraft brake assembly using commercial software. The simulation condition is natural convection. The accuracy of the model is verified by the comparison between the simulation and experimental results. Based on this model, studies are performed on heat transfer performance of the main components. The conclusion of this paper can guide the optimization of brake design. Several existing schemes that may be useful for heat dissipation or thermal protection are provided at the end of the paper.
