Research on the high-integration vortex-shape flow channel of a hydraulic servo valve based on additive manufacturing

Due to the design requirements for high power-to-weight ratios in modern aviation equipment, hydraulic servo valves for aviation are continuously developing towards miniaturization. Current manufacturing methods, such as casting and forging, constrain globe valve designs to be tailored for manufacturability. However, the integrated valve flow passage structures produced using additive manufacturing feature minimal external envelopes while exhibiting high complexity. This results in increased design difficulty, necessitating research into their characteristics to guide the development of rational design methods. In this study, parametric modelling method is used to describe the important hydraulic flow channel of a certain type of servo valve firstly. Based on this, the fluid transport characteristics for different channel shape are studied using CFD methods. This work contributes to the forward design of this type of product.
