Research on reliability prediction method of fuel regulator based on failure rate model

The fuel regulator directly affects the control effect of control system and the operation of the aero-engine, thus the research on its reliability analysis is an activity with engineering significance. In order to demonstrate the reliability index determin ation method of fuel regulator and achieve the purpose of forward reliability design, a reliability prediction method based on fail ure rate model was proposed. Combined with the function, structure and work principle of fuel regulator, the system-level mission reliability model was established. The basic failure rates of common parts could be obtained through data statistics, and a failure rate model for each component was established using the correction coefficient method. Based on the system level model and the component failure rate model, the reliability of the fuel regulator at each time point can be calculated and th e reliability function can be obtained. By applying this method, a component level failure rate model for a certain type of fue l regulator was established, and the system reliability function was determined. The mean time between failures (MTBF) was predicted using the reliability function. The results were consistent with the existing reliability level of this type of fue l regulator. The proposed method has certain rationality and effectiveness.
