The effect of electrical faults on electrical double redundancy electric servos
As the core component of the rudder system of a multi-electric aircraft, the electric servo has high requirements for reliability. As a core component, the electrical characteristics of the wound double-recession brushless DC motor are complex, and the incidence of electrical faults is high. However, there is a lack of research on the effects of electrical faults on the dynamics of the servo system. The electrical faults studied in this paper mainly include winding turn-to-turn short circuit and irreversible demagnetisation of permanent magnets. In this paper, firstly, finite element transient calculations are carried out for the two kinds of electrical faults of the winding double-redundancy brushless DC motors and the rule of change is comprehensively summarized. Then, this paper establishes a full digital simulation model of the electric servo, and investigates the effect of the faults on the system response by injecting two kinds of electrical faults. Finally, the effects of electrical faults on the electric servo are comprehensively analysed.
