Optimization of dynamic characteristics on the redundant electro-hydrostatic actuation system for launch vehicle

In order to improve the dynamic control performance of the servo system for launch vehicle, based on the working principle of dual-redundancy electro-hydrostatic actuation system, a closed-loop mathematical simulation model of position, speed and current was established. The simulation model was modified by analysing the correlation between the simulation results and the hot-firing experimental results; thus, the accuracy and effectiveness of the model were ensured. The control parameters of electro-hydrostatic actuation system position loop, speed loop and current loop were optimized based on Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm. The experiments were finished in a load simulator with the optimized control parameters. The result showed that frequency bandwidth at -45° phase was improved from 24.87rad/s to 29.14rad/s, which verified the effectiveness and technical feasibility of the control parameter optimization method.
