A redundant backup implementation method for airborne high-security system software
The airborne system is a highly complex system that covers key functions such as flight control, navigation, and communication. The failure of any software module can lead to serious consequences, even jeopardizing flight safety. Through backup mechanisms, high security system can quickly switch to a standby system when the original system fails, ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of the system. This paper proposes a redundant backup implementation method for embedded software in airborne systems, aiming to improve the system's reliability and stability. The method combines software communication handshake mechanisms, health scoring strategies, as well as triple backup mechanisms to ensure that the system can quickly switch to a backup system when a failure occurs, ensuring normal operation. It also analyses the improved system security of the triple redundancy backup method through fault trees.
