Design and simulation analysis of the control system for a cryogenic liquid rocket engine based on electric pumps
This paper employs the Simulink simulation method based on Matlab to model and study the subsystems of an electric pump-driven liquid rocket engine in cryogenic environments. Firstly, mathematical models for key components such as the permanent magnet synchronous motor, centrifugal pump, pipelines, turbine pump, and combustion chamber are established. Then, specific simulation models are constructed in the Simulink environment, with individual component models configured and interconnected, resulting in an overall engine simulation model. Simulation tests under different operating conditions demonstrate that the model can effectively simulate the engine's startup and disturbance rejection processes, reflecting the steady-state and dynamic characteristics of each component. However, the turbine pump exhibits significant overshoot, indicating that its disturbance rejection capability needs improvement. This study lays the foundation for future research on engine thrust control methods.
