Experimental study on oxygen supply performance verification of passenger oxygen mask for one certain type of aircraft
Passenger oxygen masks for civil aircraft is an oronasal type mask with continuous flow oxygen supply. Article 25.1443(c) of CCAR-25-R4 defines the minimum oxygen supply flow requirements for passengers and cabin crew from the aspects of mean tracheal oxygen partial pressures, respiratory rate and tidal volume. The flow altitude oxygen supply performance curve of the passenger oxygen mask can be measured according to article 25.1443(c). This paper proposes a mask oxygen supply performance verification test method based on blood oxygen saturation. The performance curve is verified and calibrated by the blood oxygen saturation level of the subjects wearing the mask at different air pressure altitudes, so as to ensure that the mask performance can meet the human physiological needs. Based on this method, a verification test was carried out on passenger oxygen mask for a certain type of airplane. The test results showed that the oxygen supply performance of this mask can ensure that the user's blood oxygen saturation level at all altitudes has been maintained above the reference threshold, meeting the test requirements.
