Architecture design and verification of inert gas distribution system

This study addresses the requirements for tank inerting and proposes application-oriented architectures for inert gas distribution system. Utilizing AMEsim, a multi-tank simulation model is constructed. The accuracy of the model was validated through experimental data, demonstrating its applicability for engineering calculations. Furthermore, the model was utilized to analyze both series and parallel schemes of the distribution system. Results suggest that the series scheme effectively reduces tank oxygen concentration, enhances system reliability and oxygen concentration uniformity, and achieves higher inert gas utilization rates with simplified pipeline arrangements. Consequently, we recommend adopting the series scheme for inert gas distribution system. These findings provide a basis for designing and optimizing inerting system.
