Research on air flow distribution and experimental verification based on FloEFD
In the design of aircraft environmental control system, the flow distribution of air cooling system is a crucial link. As modern aircraft continuously improves the compactness of its layout, it has become a trend to adopt a complex distribution box which is difficult to distribute flow by one-dimensional simulation to supply the cooling air to electronic equipment which is arranged at different positions in an airplane. In this paper, the flow distribution of an air-cooled ventilation box is designed by FloEFD-based 3D simulation and ground test separately. Through the comparison of the simulation data and the ground test data, it is found that there is little deviation between them, which verifies the feasibility of using this method to distribute the air cooling ventilation box with complex flow paths. In addition, the related data is very important for analysing the flow distribution and flow resistance characteristics of air-cooled ventilation boxes with complex flow paths in aircraft. At the same time, the method also provides a practical and accurate method for early flow distribution design of air cooling system with ventilation box of complex flow paths, which can effectively save time, improve efficiency and save test resources.
