Research on fault propagation characteristics of avionics system for line maintenance

Avionics system plays a core role in modern aircraft. With the increase of system integration scale, the coupling relationship between components in avionics system is becoming more and more complex, and the fault states interact with each other. New fault propagation characteristics have emerged, which greatly increases the difficulty of fault tracing. In view of the above problems, the VOR/DME (VHF Omni-directional Range/Distance Measuring Equipment) system is taken as the research object, and the complex network model of system-level architecture is constructed according to the LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) physical connection relationship. Secondly, from the perspective of line maintenance, the fault state and change rules of nodes and edges are defined, and the system fault propagation model is constructed through iterative cycle. Finally, by setting different initial faults, the fault propagation characteristics are analysed, and the fault hub nodes are identified by combining the degree distribution, so as to better locate the fault source and provide support for line maintenance.
