Research on modeling and characteristics of DC ARC faults in aircraft electrical system
DC arc faults are difficult to detect and extinguish, posing a serious threat to the stable operation of aircraft electrical systems and jeopardizing flight safety. Therefore, this paper utilizes a DC arc test setup built around the core principles of UL1699B to conduct arc tests, establish an arc average model based on the theory of dynamic balance of arc power. By analysing the characteristics of arc noise, an arc noise model is developed and overlaid onto the average model to provide a more accurate depiction of the dynamic characteristics of DC arc faults. To further validate the effectiveness and applicability of this model in nonlinear circuits, it is applied to a case study analysing DC arc faults in aircraft electrical systems.
