Prediction and control technology of water hammer in 5000 psi hydraulic system
Aiming at the water hammer issues of the hydraulic power system of wide-body aircraft with 5000 psi pressure system, based on the introduction to water hammer theory and key hydraulic components, a complete 5000 psi aircraft hydraulic system simulation model is constructed using AMESim software, and simulates the pressure and flow characteristics of the hydraulic system under transient and large flow conditions. Through simulation verification, the current hydraulic system configuration meets the water hammer standards under the maximum transient flow condition, but does not meet the pressure requirements under the maximum steady state flow condition. Further improvements can be made by optimizing the response speed of the servo valve and adjusting the pipeline configuration to mitigate the water hammer effect.
