Design and implementation of airborne information-energy integrated directional energy air combat simulation system
Directed Energy Weapon (DEW) is regarded as the "game changer" of the next generation fighter, although the performance and effect are yet to be further and thoroughly assessed. This paper designs and implements an integrated airborne information-energy integrated system for DEW-involved air combat simulation. The functional requirements of the simulation system are analyzed based on the OODA loop model. The architecture and data interaction relationships are then designed following a hierarchical modular approach, utilizing DDS technology to establish a data communication interface. Critical systems such as radar, actuator, DEW thermal management, etc., are modeled, and the simulation system is implemented in Python. Experimental results indicate that the simulation system can support assessing and validating tactical decisions for DEW air combat.
