Components and performance analysis of onboard soil sampling devices for the lunar surface roving vehicle (LSRV)

With the development of the times and the progress of science, more and more countries are focusing on deep space exploration, among which lunar exploration is the most fruitful project at present. Sampling devices for lunar surface roving vehicles contribute significantly to realizing scientific goals such as lunar origins, volatile matter detection, and lunar resource exploration. This paper describes the obstacles and existing solutions of sampling devices. The analysis encompasses an examination of the design, composition, and comparative effectiveness of various lunar soil sampling devices. Based on these considerations, the development path and technical requirements for onboard sampling equipment are proposed.
