Analysis of servo valve armature component pressing process

To comprehend the dependability of the interference connection in the armature assembly and the rationale behind the loosening of the armature assembly during usage, this study further delves into the stress and deformation of armature assembly during processing. Drawing upon the theory of thick-walled cylinder and employing the finite element simulation technique, the contact stress and pressing force of armature assembly are calculated and analyzed, respectively. By contrasting the outcomes of the two calculation methods, it is observed that: for interference connections within the elastic limit, the simulation results align closely with the theoretical calculation results. However, for interference connections with stress concentration and lying outside the elastic limit, the finite element method proves to be more practical. The simulation findings also indicated that the contact stress of the interference connection between the armature and the spring tube escalated subsequent to the installation of the feedback rod, surpassing the yield strength of the armature material and leading to plastic deformation. This, in turn, undermines the reliability of the interference connection between the armature and the spring tube. The insights gained from this study hold significant implications for the reliability optimization design of the subsequent armature module.
