Kálmán the Learned may have been the one who initiated the reintegration of the Szeklers into the institutional system of the kingdom. It took various forms. The most significant series of events was the resettlement of a group of Szeklers to Transylvania and finally to presentday Székelyföld. Applying conceptual frameworks different from the previous ones facilitates the understanding of the origin and development of the Szeklers.
