Sex Cord-Stromal Tumors with Annular Tubules: Exploring a Rare Ovarian Tumor in a Teenage Patient
Abstract An uncommon type of sex cord-stromal tumor of the ovary is a sex cord-stromal tumor with annular tubules (SCTAT). It forms only about 1% of sex cord-stromal tumors. They tend to occur in reproductive age group women and are usually associated with Peutz–Jeghers syndrome. When it is syndromic, it is usually bilateral, small, and multifocal, whereas in sporadic cases, it is unilateral, cystic, and slightly bigger. Here, we present a 13-year-old patient with nonsyndromic SCTAT.
