Research on UAV Wireless Power Transfer System Based on Class-E Power Amplifier

Given the progress in wireless power transfer (WPT) systems, wireless charging has seen expanded application across many fields. The wireless charging of UAVs has attracted many people's attention due to its unique advantages. The current researches are mostly focused on the optimization of the UAV structure and the coil of the WPT system, but there is not much research on the power supply of the WPT system. This paper derives the specific parameters of components in a Class-E power amplifier circuit operating under soft-switching conditions and establishes a circuit model for a magnetically coupled resonant WPT system. Then ADS software is used to simulate the harmonic balance of the overall circuit of the Class-E power amplifier. Finally, the relationship between the circuit transfer power, transfer efficiency and different loads is analyzed.
