Smart Management of Product Status and Exclusive Secured Information Using Augmented Reality
In our busy lifestyle, we often lose track of details regarding expiration date or allergic components present in the product/item like food items, beauty products, and medicines because product packaging is thrown away once item is unpacked or with time details fade out. So, to address this issue and to promote a healthier lifestyle, this project focuses on utilizing Augmented Reality (AR) to help users to generate AR tags for items (Target object). These tags registered against some target object will contain exclusive information like important notes, record of monthly expenses, medicine/beauty/food product details for the items etc. Our proposed implementation will save paper consumption and will enhance the security of user’s information by ensuring that tag data is only visible to the tag owner. With the help of our proposed AR application, user can attach a note to an item in AR and set its validity period ensuring that the note remains relevant for a specified duration. For example: Dropping a message for someone on house nameplate, writing to-do list on desk in office hence removing the need of sticky notes, placing notice on notice board, promotional poster for any event hence reducing the manpower required for placement and removal of notices from board on time. Our application facilitates the smart use and management of daily life products in AR. With use of ARCore and Google Firebase technology, user will be able to register any real time object wrt which user can generate AR tags with an exclusive information(written manually or generated with help to text detection algorithm), customize tag’s validity period, and also offer user an ability to edit and share tag details with other users.
