Miniaturized Ultra-Wideband Rectangular Patch Antenna for Breast Tumor Detection

early detection of breast cancer using non-ionizing radiation during screening is the only way to stop the progression of breast cancer. A promising low-cost approach offering the possibility of early tumor detection called microwave imaging is the subject of this study, which allows the detection of tumors due to the contrast of dielectric properties of healthy and malignant tissue. In this paper the detection of malignant tumor is performed by a microwave system, a UWB antenna was first designed, this last study is analyzed in three cases of situation namely: in free space, on the breast model alone and on the breast model with tumor and its performance have been proven.
