Simulation Analysis of SF6 Circuit Breaker Contact Erosion and its Influence on the Gas Flow Field
To analyze the contact erosion process of circuit breakers during current interruption, this paper established a 2D axisymmetric model of 126kV circuit breakers based on deformation grid technology and finite element simulation. Combined with a model of contact mass evaporation loss, the erosion process of the contact is analyzed. The calculation results indicate that when considering the primary erosion area of the circuit breaker contacts as the top surface of the arc contacts, severe deformation occurs on the top surface of the contacts after erosion. This deformation may further affect the normal flow of gas flow, potentially impacting the breaking performance of the circuit breaker.
