LinkSAT 1.0.0: A Comprehensive Solution for Satellite/Uplink and Downlink Budgeting

The satellite/ground station link budget is vital for ensuring communication between a satellite and its ground station throughout the satellite’s lifecycle. The project aims to calculate key parameters such as the signal-to-noise ratio, threshold powers, and Equivalent Isotopically Radiated Power (EIRP) for both uplink and downlink signals. These calculations help estimate the power received by the satellite and the ground station, considering various attenuations and losses. To facilitate this, the project proposes the development of a software application named LinkSAT 1.0.0, designed to assist in mission analysis and educational purposes. The software was tested and produced realistic results, comparable to professional tools, including a scenario considering meteorological factors.
