Simulation Study of the Effect of Coil Parameters on Electromagnetic Forces

When ice cover occurs on transmission lines, the attachment of ice increases the weight of the transmission line, resulting in greater mechanical loads on the line. Ice can also lead to phase-to-phase short circuits or ground faults, affecting the reliability of the power supply. The electric pulse de-icing device can be used for transmission lines and other linear structures, and the de-icing effect of the electric pulse de-icing device is mainly affected by the coil. In this paper, different sizes of coils are studied, and the changes of magnetic field, eddy current and pulse force under different coil parameters are analyzed to study the electric-magnetic-force coupling process when the electric pulse acts. The results show that when the number of coil turns is the same, the coil wound with $4 \times 0.4 \mathrm{~mm}$ enameled wire produces a better pulse effect than the coil wound with $2 \times 0.4 \mathrm{~mm}$ enameled wire; with the increase of the number of coil turns, the effect of the pulse effect is getting better and better. This paper can provide ideas for the development of electric pulse de-icing device.
