Creation of a 3D Model of a Coal Seam for Mining and Geological Forecasting of the Extraction Area
This article discusses the development of a 3D model of the K<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">7</inf> coal seam for mining and geological forecasting of an extractable area. The primary objective of the study is to identify potentially hazardous zones that may pose a threat during mining operations. Geological exploration data were collected and interpreted, forming the basis for the creation of a digital model of the seam. Additionally, maps of the thickness and distance to strong strata in the roof of the K<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">7</inf> seam were developed, enabling more accurate predictions of mining conditions and reducing the risks of hazardous situations. The results obtained can be applied to enhance the safety and efficiency of coal extraction in this area, and the proposed method will be utilized in further studies.
