Distributed Adaptive Fault-Tolerant Control of DC Microgrids Under Actuator Faults

This paper presents a modified distributed adaptive fault-tolerant for actuator faults in DC microgrids at less communication cost. Firstly, a distributed adaptive compensator based on extended state observer is designed to compensate the control input of each distributed generator (DG) in islanded DC microgrid (IDCMG) system under actuator faults and external disturbances. Secondly, a distributed secondary comprehensive performance optimal regulatory mechanism is proposed based on a modified distributed consensus protocol, and the robustness, voltage quality, and current sharing accuracy of the IDGMG system under loss-of-effectiveness and bias faults of actuator is improved. Finally, the feasibility and validity of the proposed fault-tolerant control strategy are verified by Lyapunov stability proof and Simulink simulation experiments.
