A Multi-Stage Vehicle-to-Vehicle Wireless Power Transfer System
Electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming more and more popular in society because they do not produce harmful gases and have the advantage of being energy efficient and environmentally friendly. EVs need to be charged at charging stations, but charging stations can be overcrowded during peak charging times due to inadequate infrastructure. In this paper, a multi-stage vehicle-to-vehicle (V 2 V) wireless charging system is proposed, which can facilitate one-to-many charging, thereby alleviating congestion at charging stations. To meet different usage requirements, different strategies are switched to change different modes. To save the space and manufacturing cost of the EVs, the switches of the system are multiplexed. Theoretical and experimental models are built. The experimental results are consistent with the theoretical values, which verifies the feasibility of the proposed system.
