Sliding Mode Control for Interleaved DC-DC Boost Converter based Photovoltaic Energy System

since they are free, sustainable, and clean energy sources, among their many other benefits, the photovoltaic systems are among the most popular technologies for producing renewable energies. However, weather conditions have a significant impact on the energy produced by photovoltaic systems. In addition to the system operating point related to changing weather conditions, an appropriate DC/DC adapter and a reliable and powerful controller must be used. A photovoltaic system based on a three-phase IBC embedded reinforcement transformer was designed and explored in this study to solve this difficult for durability, In order to track the maximum power point (MPP) and ensure a fair current sharing between the IBC legs, the system in view is managed by sliding mode control (SMC). It was compared with the traditional boost converter-sliding mode control. We used the MATLAB/Simulink environment to model and evaluate the complete system. With regard to tracking speed, minimization of overtaking, low and wavy power, the simulation results showed the effectiveness of the proposed system based on the improved IBC-SMC controller.

Abstract

since they are free, sustainable, and clean energy sources, among their many other benefits, the photovoltaic systems are among the most popular technologies for producing renewable energies.
