Techno-Economic Analysis of PV-Wind with Hybrid Storage for Voltage Profile Improvement and Power Loss Reduction
This paper presents the technical and economic analysis of the photovoltaic (PV)-wind with hybrid storage system and the impact of them on power loss reduction and voltage profile improvement. A well designed and optimized PV-wind system with storage was tested on IEEE 39 bus at its full load conditions. The data used in this paper were simulated using ETAP and HOMER Pro software. After simulation, the results revealed that the PV system with storage presents the highest percentage of 71.15% in power loss reduction and keep the voltage profile at the selected <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\text{bus }/\text{lines}$</tex> between 98% to 100%. The highest levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) was 0.1047$/kWh for PV with storage.
