WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT IN TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS CENTERS BASED ON RESOURCE-SAVING STRATEGIES
Despite the potential benefits of implementing resource-saving strategies, numerous challenges and barriers hinder their effective implementation. The article is devoted to the analysis of problems and barriers in the implementation of resource-saving strategies in the management of a warehouse of a transport and logistics center. The research aims to identify issues that are important for improving operational efficiency, reducing environmental impact and achieving sustainable growth in the logistics sector. The methodological basis of the study was the resource-oriented approach (RBV) and the technology adoption model (TAM). The following data collection methods were used: desk research, field research, and data analysis tools. The information base of the study consisted of case studies indicated in the list of references, surveys and interviews, as well as a systematic review of the literature. The study showed that the main obstacles to the introduction of resource-saving technologies are: insufficient awareness of the benefits of resource conservation, high initial implementation costs, and the complexity of integration with existing systems. The results of the study revealed an important problem: widespread ignorance about the benefits of resource conservation among staff. Many employees underestimate the importance of adopting resource-saving strategies, which leads to increased costs and reduced operational efficiency of the company. The results of the study contribute to understanding people’s motivation to change their behavior in order to implement resource-saving technologies.
