Method for determining reliability requirements of airborne structural health monitoring system
The airborne structural health monitoring system is a critical component of civil aircraft, primarily used to monitor the sta tus of aircraft structures. Establishing reasonable reliability requirements is essential for ensuring the smooth execution of tasks while significantly reducing usage, maintenance, and support costs, all within the framework of meeting the system's efficiency requirements. In this paper, based on the characteristics of the system, a procedure for demonstrating reliability requirements is presented. The reliability index at the system level is demonstrated using the Monte Carlo modeling and simulation method. The reliability index of the optical fiber demodulation instrument is demonstrated considering the constraints of safety and economy, which is significant for determining the reliability requirements of the airborne structural health monitoring system.
