Research on key technologies of high throughput biological 3D printers based on extrusion
High-throughput biological 3D printing technology can rapidly produce a large number of customized biological tissues, accelerating drug development and reducing costs. It addresses challenges such as high sample demand, strict repeatability requirements, and poor sample consistency. By leveraging this technology, an efficient and reliable solution is provided for drug screening, enhancing both the efficiency and accuracy of the process. The proposed design adopts an air-pressure extrusion method to achieve high-throughput biological 3D printing. Tailored to the specific requirements of drug screening samples, this approach involves the independent design of efficient biological 3D printing nozzles and platforms. Furthermore, the mechanical structure, hardware, and firmware of the biological 3D printer have been meticulously designed and optimized, enabling multi-nozzle, heterogeneous material, and high-throughput printing capabilities. The rationality of the design has been verified through simulation. In the printing experiments, methacrylated gelatin material was used for the printing of biologic al scaffolds. The results demonstrate that this high-throughput biological 3D printer boasts not only excellent manufacturing capabilities and printing precision but also ensures a high degree of consistency and reliability in the printed samples. Thi s technology represents a significant advancement in streamlining and enhancing the drug screening process.
