Analysis and verification of SM2 cryptographic certificates

Compared to conventional encryption algorithms, the SM2(Chinese National Standard for Public Key Cryptography Based on Elliptic Curves) encryption algorithm reduces computational complexity and improves operational speed. However, there is still room for improvement in the parsing and verification processes of SM2 certificates. This paper, therefore, explores and implements the parsing and verification processes of SM2 certificates, aiming to enhance the security and reliability of digi tal certificate applications. The paper first proposes a framework for parsing and verifying SM2 certificates, then introduces methods for parsing and verifying the key fields of SM2 certificates according to the framework, including two algorithms for certificate parsing and CRL verification. It parses critical information such as serial numbers, validity periods, and public keys, and verifies the validity periods, public key parameters, and CRL lists. The paper experimented with 10,000 certificates, eit her correct or containing various errors, achieving satisfactory parsing and verification accuracy. Through systematic analysis and implementation, this paper provides an effective strategy to ensure the security and integrity of digital certificates in pra ctical applications.
