IDENTIFICATION OF 3,4-METHYLENEDIOXYMETHAMPHETAMINE (MDMA) IN URINE SAMPLES USING GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY-MASS SPECTROMETRY (GC-MS) INSTRUMENT
This study focuses on the identification and analysis of the chemical composition of a tablet suspected to contain illegal substances using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). The analysis confirmed the presence of 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) with a similarity index of 94.65%. Additionally, caffeine was also detected in the sample with a similarity index of 96.2%. These findings are crucial for forensic investigations, providing reliable data for law enforcement in the identification of illicit drugs.
