Combined cardiac procedures and orthotopic liver transplant in the era of machine perfusion
Poster Sessionstherapy. All patients were discharged with perfectly functioning graft. After 9 months of follow-up, one out of four patients died from a pontine hemorrhage, the remaining three patients' grafts are functioning and with no rejection evidence.ConclusionWe propose the use of Eculizumab and Thymoglobulin in ABO-I living donor liver transplantation as an opportunity to increase the safety and success of LDLT.More studies are needed to define the efficacy and safety of Eculizumab and Thymoglobulin as a standard desensitization protocol.
