Perceptions and Potential Barriers to Participation of Nurses in Xenotransplantation Research
Background: Xenotransplant research using the decedent model requires an excellent critical care nursing team. However, decedent care presents several challenges that may impede or disinterest participation. We sought to characterize and identify potential barriers to facilitating nursing participation in xenotransplant decedent research, using experiences surrounding an extended decedent study of kidney xenotransplantation.
