The Acceptability of a Caregiver-Directed Animated Video about Kidney Transplant Navigation
Background: Educating lay caregivers about kidney transplantation (KT) may improve the success of KT-seekers. Our clinical-research group developed an educational animated video directed to (speak specifically to) caregivers to complement an existing digital intervention currently being adapted to stimulate caregiver engagement in KT access. The aim of the current study is to assess the video’s acceptability to KT caregivers in terms of satisfaction with the medium, appropriateness of content, and sharing applicability, as well as recommendations for improvement of the video and the transplant center’s program.
