Lymphatic Embolization: A Novel Approach To Management Of Post-Operative Lymphocele Following Kidney Transplantation
BACKGROUND: Post-operative lymphoceles are relatively common following kidney transplantation and are typically managed either via percutaneous drainage or fenestration. However both techniques have relatively high recurrence rates. We describe a novel approach involving lymphangiography with lymphatic embolization as an adjunct to management of lymphoceles complicating kidney transplantation.
