Temperature deformation testing of piezoelectric composite material

The bending deformation of piezoelectric composite resonators under temperature variations can significantly impact transducers and sonar systems, yet there is a lack of research on how to assess these deformations. Investigating testing methods for the deformation of piezoelectric composite resonators at different temperatures not only provides a reliable basis for selecting resonators suitable for transducers but also advances the design and fabrication processes of relevant materials. This is crucial for enhancing the performance of transducers and sonar systems. A study has designed a system based on fiber Bragg grating sensing technology to measure the deformation of piezoelectric composite resonators under temperature variations. Using this system, three-dimensional deformations of various composite materials were measured from 25°C to 120°C, confirming the feasibility of the system and providing a practical testing approach to identify piezoelectric composite resonators with superior heat resistance.
