Half-duplex underwater communication system with broadband high-frequency transducer
High-speed, short-range communication has important applications in the field of underwater communication and in the field of medicine. We have designed a comprehensive half-duplex underwater communication system with a high-frequency broadband transducer, which includes complete hardware design and software design. The baud rate of the system can adjust from 1 KBaud to 30 KBaud, and the carrier waveform is 150 kHz to 200 kHz. The user can adjust the above parameters through the PC software according to the specific usage situation. Each module has been tested in a water tank. When the transducer is operated at the optimum frequency of 171 kHz, the system is capable of communicating accurately from 10 kbps to 25 kbps in the water tank in simplex mode. In half-duplex mode, communication rates of 10 kbps to 20 kbps can be achieved. The whole system realises the functions of distance measurement and temperature measurement. Our design provide a solution for short-range ultra-high-speed communication.
