A pseudo-random signal generator based on 3D discrete memristor chaotic map
Pseudo-random number generators that can quickly generate noise-like noise have high value in engineering applications. However, the methods currently used in many signal generators do not produce noise with enough randomness to satisfy engineering applications. Based on the properties possessed by the memristor, a novel method is proposed in this paper. A 3D discrete memristor model is constructed by coupling the discrete memristor to a discrete system, and its complex dynamical behavior, which depends on the system parameters and initial values, is analyzed. The results show that the 3D-DM exhibits hyperchaotic behavior. An experimental platform was built using FPGA and DAC, and the phase-trajectory diagrams obtained using oscilloscope capture are highly similar to the simulation results, which proves the feasibility of realizing 3D-DM using digital hardware circuits. Finally, a pseudo-random number generator is designed with a hardware operation speed of 350 Mps. The proposed method outperforms the existing methods.
