Failed elements correction method based on multi-strategy grey wolf optimizer
Addressing the issues of the classical Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) algorithm, such as the simplicity of its search strategy and limited application scope, this paper proposes a Multi-strategy Grey Wolf Optimizer (MGWO) algorithm based on a combination of nonlinear bi-convergence factor strategy and Gaussian mutation. Furthermore, the algorithm is integrated with the improved discovery mechanism of the Cuckoo Search algorithm and the Logistic-Sine-Cosine chaotic mapping, which is applied to array synthesis under the condition of array element failure. The objective function incorporates additional common excitation constraints to reduce the maintenance cost of the antenna system and enhance its stability. Compared to the existing strategy, the number of corrections of the whole excitations of the working elements is reduced by up to 33%. Furthermore, the radiation characteristics of the recovered pattern satisfy the specified requirements, thereby validating the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
