Advance in study of safety monitoring methods for nuclear power plants
There are numerous monitoring objects and various monitoring methods for NPPs. In order to master the monitoring methods and their progress, and provide a basis and reference for the research and design of monitoring systems for NPPs, this paper analyses the research progress of monitoring methods from the aspects of system, equipment, objects, structure, operation, and environment. The analysis results show that the monitoring of NPP systems, equipment, objects, and structures has expanded from traditional parameter and fault monitoring to fault prediction and diagnosis; Extend from equipment performance and fault monitoring to equipment aging monitoring and management; Expanding from usage monitoring to full life monitoring; Developing from monitoring device performance and faults to monitoring and managing device health status. The research on operational monitoring of NPPs is gradually advancing from parameter monitoring and operational status monitoring to operational fault prediction, fault diagnosis, intelligent monitoring, and comprehensive monitoring. The main development of environmental monitoring for NPPs is the research and application of robot monitoring technology. Intelligent monitoring, prediction, diagnosis, and analysis are important research and development directions for safety monitoring of NPPs.
