Evaluation of some physiological and histological variables in women with polycystic ovary syndrome in Kirkuk / Iraq

The aim of the current scientific study is to measure the concentrations of the following variables (FSH, LH, Testosterone, AMH, IR) in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. The scientific study was conducted from September 2023 to May 2023, and specimen were composed from visitors to Kirkuk General Hospital and specialized medical clinics in the city of Kirkuk. The study included (55) ills with polycystic ovary syndrome. Aged (20-40) years and with an average body mass index (29.078) kg/m², the body mass index of (45) healthy subjects was (23.960) kg/m2 and the same age as the ills. These samples were distributed as follows: The control group included (45) healthy females, while the patient group included three groups according to age groups, the first age group (20-26) years and included 20 patients, the second (27-33) years and included 25 patients, and the third (34-40) years included 10 patients. The results of the study concluded that there was a significant increase (p>0.05) in the levels of (Testosterone, AMH, IR, LH) and a significant decrease (p>0.05) in the level of FSH in women with polycystic ovary syndrome compared to the control group according to age groups.
