Active medium-voltage grid coupling using particle swarm optimization
Distribution grids have constantly evolved to collector grids to meet the goals of the energy transition. For further integration of renewable energy sources (RES), especially wind and solar parks, the technology of a medium-voltage direct current (MVDC) system can increase the hosting capacity and flexibility in the medium-voltage grid level by horizontal active power flow control as well as voltage control on both sides of the system.
